Highlights from High Point

Beth and Brian recently took a road trip to High Point, North Carolina for home furnishings’ equivalent of fashion week. They returned tired, but inspired; with a Yukon full with one-of-a-kind pieces, and a few crazy stories to tell. 

The latest design innovations include global-inspired goods; repurposed antiques; and the colors of the deep sea. Global-inspired goods invite us to imagine the style and romance of exotic destinations. We love the trend of incorporating earthy materials and exotic patterns into a space to add texture and interest.

Repurposed antiques remind us of our roots and what, with the passage of time, is forever in our memory as the good old days. Mixing repurposed antiques with contemporary elements is a fresh and innovative way to create a cohesive, eclectic look. 

The intersection of repurposed antique and modern contemporary – a trend that has made its way far beyond High Point – is what we loved most about our stay at The Foundry in Asheville. Whether you find yourself passing through the city like we did, or you decide to stay a while, the thoughtful eccentricity of the Foundry property will leave you feeling indulgent and right at home, simultaneously.

We’ve heard it said that the ocean calms a restless soul and we couldn’t agree more. The rich deep blue and green tones of the ocean add subtle depth and refined elegance – and it is these elements that beckon us home at the end of a long day. We were inspired by the deep blues and greens that are on trend for 2019 and we can’t wait for you to stop in and see what’s new.
